FWPD update: Suspect arrested in 4/1/2025 Bowser Avenue shooting
On April 9, 2025, at 0805 hours, the FWPD Homicide Task Force arrested a suspect without incident for the April 1 shooting on Bowser Avenue.

The FWPD Gang and Violent Crimes Unit, working with Homicide and Narcotics Divisions, executed a search warrant at 3210 South Monroe Street on November 2, 2024, recovering weapons and a wanted suspect.

The FWPD Homicide Unit identified a 17yo male juvenile as the suspect of the shooting that took place on May 20, 2024, at 12:37 hours in the 700 block of Drexel Avenue.

On May 29, 2024, the FWPD arrested two suspects for the homicide of Ayvion Parker that occurred on September 12, 2023 in the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail.

On November 6, 2023, at 1500 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department apprehended two subjects in connection to the shooting investigation in the 1400 block of Swinney Avenue on November 2, 2023.

On May 24, 2023, at 1452 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department arrested a juvenile in the area of 200 Lexington Court in connection to a shooting that occurred on August 20, 2022, in the 1500 block of East Lewis Street.

On February 17, 2023, at 1021 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to North Side High School at 475 East State Boulevard in reference to a juvenile possibly armed with a firearm.
Allen County Courts return COVID-19 masking option to courtrooms
In response to the surge in COVID-19 cases and Allen County’s return to orange status, the Allen County Circuit and Superior courts have updated their policy on wearing masks and facial coverings in court buildings.
