On April 9, 2025, at 0805 hours, the FWPD Homicide Task Force arrested a suspect without incident for the April 1 shooting on Bowser Avenue.

Details/Summary:
Previously on April 1st, 2025, at approximately 1321 hours, the FWPD responded to reports of a shooting at the 2300 block of Bowser Ave. Upon arrival, Officers located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound(s) outside in the parking lot. She was rendered aid on scene, before being transported by TRAA to a local hospital where she was pronounced to be in Life-Threatening Condition.
Update: Fort Wayne Homicide Detectives conducted the criminal investigation and identified a 15yo male juvenile as the suspect. On April 9th, 2025, at 0805 hours, the Homicide task force, with the assistance from Uniform Operations, arrested the suspect without incident. He was transported to the Allen County Juvenile Center.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
