As the investigation continues in the officer involved shooting on September 12, 2025, near Schwartz and Irving Roads in northeast Allen County, we are providing this update.
FWPD Update: Shooting Investigation, 2300 block Cortland Avenue
On September 15, 2025, at 0126 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Cortland Avenue in reference to a shooting investigation.

On September 15, 2025, at 0125 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the report of a possible shooting in the 2300 block of Cortland Avenue.
FWPD: Domestic Incident Investigation, 1300 block Vance Avenue
On August 26, 2025, Officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Vance Avenue in reference to a domestic incident.
FWPD: Vehicle Pursuit, Lima and West Ludwig Roads
On September 15, 2025, at 2140 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department attempted to make contact with a vehicle near the intersection of Lima and Ludwig Roads.
FWPD: Critical Injury Motorcycle Accident, 8300 block Lakeside Court
On September 14, 2025, at 2130 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a call regarding a motorcycle that had been in an accident, with the male subject suffering from unknown injuries and on the ground.
Multi-Agency Officer-Involved Shooting near Schwartz and Irving Roads
Shortly after 2000 hours on September 12, 2025, a Deputy with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department noticed a vehicle parked in a suspicious area near Schwartz and Irving Roads in Allen County, Indiana.
FWPD: Critical Injury Moped Accident, 1900 block North Clinton Street
On September 7, 2025, at 2317 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the 1900 block of North Clinton Street in regards to a single-vehicle accident involving a moped.
FWPD: Pursuit ends in fatal vehicle accident
On September 3, 2025, at 0700 hours, an officer of the Fort Wayne Police Department recognized a White Tahoe as matching a vehicle that had just been stolen out of the Southeast Quadrant.
FWPD: Barricaded Subject, 1400 block Kitch Street
On September 1, 2025, at 1530 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1400 block of of Kitch Street regarding an armed subject suffering from a mental health crisis.
