On May 13, 2026, at 0813 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was dispatched to the Tim Hortons at 3975 Ice Way, Fort Wayne, Indiana, in regards to an altercation involving a reported battery.

Details/Summary:
On May 13, 2026, officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) were dispatched to the Tim Horton’s at 3975 Ice Way regarding an altercation involving a reported battery. Upon arrival, the elderly adult female involved in the incident became unresponsive before officers were able to obtain her statement. Medics were immediately summoned and began life‑saving measures. She was transported from the scene by medics but was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
The FWPD Investigative Support Division is investigating the incident in coordination with the Allen County Coroner’s Office. Detectives interviewed witnesses and obtained surveillance footage from the business. The FWPD Crime Scene Unit processed the location and collected evidence. Upon completion of the investigation, the case will be forwarded to the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office for review in accordance with standard procedure.
