Asphalt Pavement Work to Begin on June 15

Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 12, 2026) – Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation announces that two sections of Franke Park Drive located within Franke Park will receive asphalt pavement improvements. Work is expected to begin first thing in the morning on Monday, June 15. While construction is in progress, visitors to Franke Park and the Fort Wayne Zoo may experience temporary changes to parking and traffic flow and are asked to drive with caution and allow extra time when entering and exiting the parking lots.

See the attached map for both areas that will be impacted temporarily. The goal is to reopen the sections for normal traffic flow as soon as possible following the resurfacing improvements.
