122nd Fighter Wing to conduct F-16 flyover to kick-off City’s Fourth of July Parade
Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 12, 2026) – Residents and visitors gathered for the Celebrate America, 250 Years United Fourth of July Parade will experience a military aerial flyover to kick-off off the event. The flyover will feature a tactical formation of two F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft executing a low-altitude pass directly over the parade route along South Calhoun Street at approximately 10:00 a.m.
The parade route on South Calhoun Street begins at Creighton Avenue and ends at Main Street. This family-friendly event is open to all.
There are still spots available for those who would like to participate in the parade, but the deadline to apply is Monday, June 15 at 11:59 p.m. More information and a participation application is available here.
The Celebrate America, 250 Years United Parade is presented by the City of Fort Wayne and Steel Dynamics. Sponsors include Fort Wayne Metals and Surack Enterprises.
