The Allen County Coroner has identified Shonte Evette McDonald as the 9th Allen County Homicide in 2026.
Amended news release from the Allen County Coroner:
The autopsy has been completed, and notification has been made to the next of kin of the deceased individual was found in a residence in the 200 block of East Maple Grove Avenue, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, 46806, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at approximately 22:01 hours. He has been positively identified as Shonte Evette McDonald, female, Black, age 48, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Shonte Evette McDonald was pronounced deceased at the scene by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.
Shonte Evette McDonald’s cause of death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds, and the manner of death is Homicide.
Shonte Evette McDonald is the 9th Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2026.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
