The Allen County Coroner has identified Swa Hid as the 8th Allen County Homicide in 2026.
Amended news release from the Allen County Coroner:
The autopsy has been completed, and notification has been made to the next of kin of the deceased individual that was found in a field, in the 2700 block of Stardale Drive, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, 46816, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at approximately 13:45 hours. He has been positively identified as Swa Hid, male, Asian, age 21, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Swa Hid was pronounced deceased at the scene by Fort Wayne Fire Department.
Swa Hid’s cause of death is Gunshot Wound of Chest, and the manner of death is Homicide.
Swa Hid is the 8th Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2026.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
