Henry Lee Summer to Open for Grand Funk Railroad This Saturday

(July 9, 2018) – The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department’s Foellinger Theatre announced today that Indiana native rocker Henry Lee Summer will open for Grand Funk Railroad at the concert scheduled for 8:00 p.m. this Saturday, July 14, 2018.

Summer, a Brazil, Indiana native, is self-taught on guitar, piano, and drums influenced by the best in country, R&B, rock & roll, and blues. Expressing a raw and impulsive style of rock & roll, Summer always adds his own voice and style. He has toured with legendary greats such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Money, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Don Henley, Robert Palmer, Cheap Trick, 38 Special and Richard Marx. Summer also shared the stage with John Mellencamp at a show in Indianapolis (1988) and another in Bloomington, Indiana. Best known for his 1985 Billboard top 20 hit “I Wish I Had a Girl,” Summer will provide the perfect complement to the monster hit list being brought by Grand Funk Railroad.

This concert is brought to you by the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored by Fun 101.7, ABC 21 WPTA, Whatzup, and Old National – Your Bank. For Life.

Tickets for the show are available on line at Foellingertheatre.org or by calling 260/427-6000.
