CEO Forum to Examine the Fight for Corporate Talent
The University of Saint Francis is presenting recruiting expert Mike Magsig along with a panel of business and community leaders to discuss how the battle for talent is affecting Northeast Indiana.

(September 15, 2015) — The University of Saint Francis Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership will present the 22nd Annual CEO Forum on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 5:30-8 p.m. This event, titled “Future of Business: The New War for Talent,” will be held at the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center, 431 W. Berry Street.

Mike Magsig, global sector leader, insurance, at Korn Ferry, the world’s largest executive search firm, will provide valuable insights about gaining and keeping talent in today’s business world. With decades of service in the insurance industry including time as president and CEO of The Cologne Life Reinsurance Company and as an executive with Lincoln National Insurance Company in Fort Wayne, Mr. Magsig has deep experience recruiting senior officers. Much of his work is centered on C-suite executives and succession planning, and on leveraging exceptional talent in new ventures.

After Mr. Magsig’s presentation, a panel of corporate and organizational leaders will continue the conversation about how the battle for talent affects our region. The panel will include:

  • Charles Cammack, Jr., chief operations officer for Fort Wayne Community Schools
  • Larry Dahl, president of Ash Brokerage
  • Eric Doden, CEO of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and principal of Domo Ventures
  • Jeff McDonald, senior vice president of human resources at Sweetwater
  • Jennifer Winkeljohn, vice president of the finance division of Robert Half Finance & Accounting

Schedule of Events:

  • 6:30 p.m. – Welcome & CEO Keynote
  • 7:10 p.m. – CEO Panel Discussion
  • 8 p.m. – Adjourn

The CEO Forum allows businesspeople to interact and hear CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners and executive managers explain how they expanded their organizations. In addition, the Forum provides USF students with the opportunity to gain valuable and meaningful insights into how top managers think and act.
