The Allen County Board of Commissioners meets this morning in Legislative Session.
The meeting takes place at 9:30 am in the Commissioner’s Courtroom on the second floor of the City-County Building.  The agenda may be downloaded here.  There is a Fort Wayne Community Schools press conference this morning, which may prevent me from covering part or all of the meeting.  If I attend, I’ll be blogging live.
Of possible interest on the agenda:
- Update from the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership.
- Interlocal Agreement between the Board of Commissioners and the Town of Monroeville. The Interlocal Agreement is for 2 years; will expire on December 31, 2011.
Also on the agenda is a matter held last week:
- Federal Lobbying and Government Relations Engagement between the Board of Commissioners and Barnes & Thornburg LLP.
The County Commissioners asked last week if Barnes & Thornburg would forgo their requested monthly rate increase of $5,000. Although it was felt by Commissioner Linda Bloom and County Legislative Liaison Beth Garber they would not, they were to see if something could be worked out at the request of Commissioner Bill Brown and seconded by Commissioner Nelson Peters.
