Pee Wee and Junior Golf Tour
There’s still time to enroll your child for the Pee Wee and Junior Golf tours with the Parks and Recreation Department, but deadlines are approaching fast. July 3 is the deadline to sign up for the Pee Wee Lakeside Park and for the Junior Foster Park and McMillen tournaments. There are additional dates scheduled through the end of July for Juniors and until August 6 for Pee Wee’s. On-site entries will be accepted with a late fee added to the original fee.
These aren’t pro tours, but they’re just as much fun! The Pee Wee and Junior Golf Tours allow boys and girls ages 3-18 to test their skills against other young golfers on a variety of area courses. The Tour is a schedule of competitive tournaments, not a “Learn-to-Play” or “Lessons” program. Children should have golfing experience in a lessons program or playing with adults prior to competing in an event and have their own equipment, bag, tees and a minimum of three clubs.
Tournament formats and fees vary for each event. Awards will be given at each tournament. Please visit our website at www.fortwayneparks.org to download registration forms or call 427-6000 to have forms mailed to you.
