NWS update: 6 to 8″ expected this evening in the warning area

Snow will be heavy at times tonight with accumulations around an inch per hour with total storm accumulations of 6 to 8 inches expected.

NWS: Snowfall rates of 1 inch per hour possible tonight

Snow currently over the area will continue to increase in intensity and coverage as the evening progresses with rates of around an inch per hour possibly beetween 6 pm and 2 am tonight.

Winter Storm Warning update

Snow will overspread the area from west to east late this morning into the late afternoon hours to continue through the overnight hours with accumulations of 5 to 7 inches.

Light snow overnight will pick up in coverage and intensity during the mid to late morning hours Tuesday with the period of heaviest snow expected late Tuesday afternoon through a portion of the overnight hours Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service has upgraded the watch to a Winter Storm Warning, in effect from 10 am Tuesday to 10 am Wednesday.
