United Way of Allen County Awards $20,000 Grant to Support Wellspring Food Bank
Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 30, 2026) — Wellspring Interfaith Social Services has received a grant from United Way of Allen County to support the Wellspring Food Bank and its efforts to provide food to individuals and families throughout Allen County.
The Wellspring Food Bank provides food at no cost to community members who need assistance. The Food Bank uses a client-choice model, allowing individuals and families to select the foods that best meet their household’s needs.
“We are very grateful to United Way of Allen County for supporting the Wellspring Food Bank and the families we serve,” said Ermina Mustedanagic, CEO of Wellspring Interfaith Social Services.
Mustedanagic said partnerships with organizations such as United Way are essential to Wellspring’s ability to respond to community needs. The grant comes at a time when the cost of groceries and other necessities continues to put pressure on local families.
Wellspring Interfaith Social Services has served the Fort Wayne community since 1968. The organization provides free services to Allen County residents through programs including the Food Bank, Wellspring on Wheels mobile food distribution, youth programs, and clothing bank.
