Traffic Alert: Multiple Lane Restrictions in the Ardmore/Jefferson/Illinois/Hillegas Area this Week
Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 3, 2026) — Two lane restrictions are scheduled this week as crews continue work on water main improvements in the Westwood Fairway neighborhood and along West Jefferson Boulevard.
On Tuesday, August 4, the right southbound lane of Ardmore Avenue will be closed from West Jefferson Boulevard to North Washington Road. Crews will complete final connection work near Ardmore Avenue and North Washington Road. The restriction will provide safe access to the work area and is expected to be lifted by 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Beginning Wednesday, August 5, the right westbound lane of Illinois Road will be closed between the Illinois Road/West Jefferson Boulevard split and Hillegas Road. One westbound lane will remain open, and motorists will still be able to turn north or south onto Hillegas Road at the intersection. The restriction is expected to remain in place through Friday, August 7.
