Free Neighborhood Power Lab fall series workshops announced
Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 14, 2026) – Registration is now open for the free fall series of the Neighborhood Power Lab Workshops.
Presented by Community Development’s Department of Neighborhoods, the Power Lab Workshops provide interactive learning experiences designed to equip residents with the knowledge and tools to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods.
All upcoming workshops are free and held at the main branch of the Allen County Public Library on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and include dinner provided by sponsor WesBanco. Topics and dates include:
- August 19 Workshop: Making Headlines – A Citizen’s Guide to Local Media featuring Kara Hackett of online publication The Local. Registration is open now.
- October 22 Workshop: The Working Genius Tool – Building Healthier Neighborhood Association Teams featuring Whitney Bandemer of WB Consulting. This workshop is a special session that will only be available for neighborhood groups. Registration will open at the Inspire Conference on September 11.
- October 29 Workshop: Building Better Neighborhoods-Bylaw Best Practices featuring Tom Niezer of Barret McNagy. Registration is open now.
- November 19 Workshop: Behind the scenes: Crafting Winning Grant Applications featuring Neighborhood Grant Coordinator Holly Muñoz. Registration is open now.
