Fort Wayne Police Department incident Report Details/Summary:
Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) responded to the area of 2200 Oliver St reference and armed subject. Whie en route, information was received that someone had been shot. Responding officers encountered a chaotic scene with many individuals involved. Several victims
transported themselves to area hospitals.At this time we can confirm nine people were injured including one individual who was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics.
Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit are working to document and collect evidence as well as search for any surveillance video in the area.
More information may be released as it is confirmed and if it does not negatively affect the investigation. This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD Homicide Unit and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
