The Allen County Coroner has identified Sandra Sue Chelf as the 13th Allen County Homicide in 2026.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 27, 2026) – On Friday, May 22, 2026, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a shooting, in the 100 block of Woodlake Run, in Yoder, Indiana. The decedent was found unresponsive on the bedroom floor. Southwest Allen County EMS arrived and pronounced death.
The individual has been identified as Sandra Sue Chelf, female, White, 77 years of age. The autopsy has been completed and the next of kin has been notified.
Sandra Sue Chelf’s Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Sandra Sue Chelf is the 13th Homicide for Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana in 2026.
This incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
