Fort Wayne City Utilities crews will replace a water valve on Hessen Cassel Road beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Traffic Alert: Hessen Cassel Road Lane Closure

Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 19, 2026) – City Utilities crews will replace a water valve on Hessen Cassel Road beginning Wednesday, May 20, at 8 a.m.

The southbound lane of Hessen Cassel Road will be closed at the East Maple Grove Avenue intersection. Southbound drivers should use McKinnie Avenue, South Anthony Boulevard and East Paulding Road to return to Hessen Cassel Road.

The lane closure is expected to last two days.

Water valves are an essential part of the water system. They help crews limit service disruptions when maintenance or repairs are needed in a neighborhood. The new valve will strengthen the system in the area.
