Portion of Pufferbelly Trail to temporarily close Wednesday – 5/20/2026

A section of the Pufferbelly Trail/Salomon Farm Park loop between the YMCA entrance and Dupont Road will close to receive surfacing maintenance on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Portion of Pufferbelly Trail to Close Temporarily on Wednesday
Trail expected to reopen later the same day

Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 19, 2026) – Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation announces that a section of the Pufferbelly Trail/Salomon Farm Park loop between the YMCA entrance and Dupont Road will close to receive surfacing maintenance beginning first thing in the morning and through the afternoon on Wednesday, May 20.

See the attached map for temporary closure area. The resurfacing maintenance is expected to be completed quickly, but it is important for people and pets to stay off of the trail surface until the hot asphalt cools. The goal is to re-open the section in late afternoon on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
