Allen County Residents Invited to Recycle Electronics

Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 29, 2026) — The Allen County Department of Environmental Management (ACDEM) will host an Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 2911 Meyer Road. Allen County residents are invited to drop off electronic items for safe, affordable recycling.

Recycling fees:

  • 1–5 items: $10 (fee includes one television; each additional television is $10)
  • 6–10 items: $20
  • 11–15 items: $30
  • 16–20 items: $40

Accepted items include televisions, cell phones, computer equipment, stereo components, cords, DVDs, printers, VCRs and tablets. Payment is accepted by cash or check only.

Electronic waste (e-waste) is the world’s fastest-growing waste stream, and ACDEM is proud to provide a secure recycling solution. Electronics should never be disposed of in household trash, curbside bins, or community recycling containers. ACDEM’s contractor, ERI, ensures safe and secure recycling—reducing waste while giving these materials a second life.

“We look forward to hosting our spring Electronics Recycling Event to help manage e-waste,” said Stacie Hubbert, ACDEM Director. “We strive to educate residents on how to safely manage these materials throughout a device’s useful life and beyond.”

This event is open to residents only; businesses and nonprofit organizations are not eligible to participate. For a complete list of accepted items and more information about electronics recycling in Allen County, visit www.acwastewatcher.org.
