Fort Wayne City Utilities crews will begin replacing a water valve on South Calhoun Street at 8:00 a.m. on April 23, 2026.

Traffic Alert: Lane Restriction on South Calhoun Street

Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 22, 2026) – City Utilities crews will begin replacing a water valve on South Calhoun Street at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, April 23.

Southbound Calhoun will be closed between Douglas Avenue and Brackenridge Street for approximately two days.

Southbound drivers should follow this detour using Calhoun Street, Douglas Avenue, U.S. Highway 27, Brackenridge Street and back to Calhoun.

City Utilities appreciates your patience as crews complete this work to maintain reliable water service.
