On April 13, 2026, at 1150 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1100 block of East Cook Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 1152 hours
Under Control: 1223 hours
Two minutes after the time of the call, firefighters arrived to the house that had moderate smoke coming from it. Firefighters found fire in the basement and first floor area of the home. The house was vacant at the time of the fire. The fire was under control in 31 minutes.
The fire remains under investigation.
