The Allen County Coroner has identified Jamion Martin as the 26th Allen County Homicide in 2024.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
On Thursday, August 22nd, 2024, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a shooting in the 7900 block of Decatur Road in Fort Wayne. The first responders pronounced death at the scene.
The victim was identified as Jamion Martin, 29, male, Black of Chicago, Illinois.
The autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the legal next of kin. The Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Jamion Martin is the 26th homicide for Allen County in 2024.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
