The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred May 18th, 2023 at roughly 10:13 pm in the area of Winter St. and Colerick St. Police arrived and located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was rendered care and was in non-life threatening condition.
The victim drove to the liquor store to make a purchase. He was confronted by a male suspect when he left the store in the parking lot. The suspect demanded money from the victim, produced a gun, and shot the victim. The victim and a witness left the scene and called police from another location.
