Holiday Festivities Continue with The Days of Holly Shopping in Downtown Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne, Indiana (December 8, 2021) – Shop Small Every Saturday during The Days of Holly Shopping in Downtown Fort Wayne presented by your Downtown Improvement District.

The Days of Holly Shopping seeks to support our friends and neighbors in the dining and retail sectors throughout the holiday season. This event runs every Saturday through December 18, 2021.

Maximize support for our community businesses by visiting their brick and mortar in person or online from the comfort of your home. Participating locations will offer discounted retail and dining specials to celebrate the holiday season.

Enhance your shopping experience with plenty of festive entertainment, performances, and special guest appearances scheduled throughout Downtown Fort Wayne from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. every Saturday.

Scheduled for Saturday, December 11, in Downtown Fort Wayne:

  • Santa will be touring the district from the back of a trolley from 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Buddy the Elf & Jovie will make special guest appearances from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. to engage shoppers from the back of a trolley.
  • Heartland Sings! will provide holiday caroling entertainment throughout the district from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Citilink will be offering “Free Fare Saturdays” this year on December 11 and 18 to celebrate The Days of Holly Shopping and promote local shopping this holiday season. Fares will be free on all services, including fixed-route buses, Flexlink, MedLink, and Access. It is required to follow COVID-19 guidelines by wearing your mask and practicing social distancing. Real-time bus information is available at FWCitilink.DoubleMap.com.

Trolley rides will not be available to the public this year.

New this year is the Holiday Passport which will list all participating restaurant and retail businesses. Shoppers may print off their Holiday Passport and bring it to any participating location to receive a holiday stamp. Once an individual has received eight stamps and submits their passport, they are entered into a drawing to receive a Downtown overnight package valued at $500.

The Snowman Scavenger Hunt returns this year for another fun-filled, family adventure! Each week, several snowmen will be hidden throughout the district. Those who find and retrieve a hidden snowman and bring it back to the location listed on the snowman may redeem a local gift card valued at $50-100.

Be on the lookout for printed maps available for pickup at participating locations. For more information, a list of shopping and dining specials, and the Holiday Passport, please go to https://downtownfortwayne.com/holly-shopping/.
