Mask Wearing To Continue In Court Facilities After Statewide Mandate Ends
Allen Circuit, Superior Courts’ policy on mask wearing will remain unchanged for now

Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 5, 2021) – Allen Circuit and Superior Court facilities will continue to require the wearing of masks or facial coverings in Court facilities following the expiration on April 6, 2021, of Indiana’s statewide mask mandate.

This requirement will remain in place for now to protect everyone visiting Court facilities, including litigants, attorneys, staff and those called for jury service.

The Allen County Courts’ policy on mask wearing will remain unchanged from its current form. Anyone over the age of 2 entering the Courthouse, Meeks Justice Center, Courthouse Annex and Criminal Division Services must wear a mask or facial covering. Court staff will also continue to be required to wear masks or facial coverings outside of their personal work spaces.

Anyone coming to a Court facility without a mask will be provided with one by security staff, free of charge. Social distancing measures already in place in Court facilities, including limited courtroom seating and accommodations for jurors, will also remain in place for now.
