Allen County Coroner news release for the 2021 5th, 6th Allen County Homicides.
Fort Wayne, Indiana (February 18, 2021) – The autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the next of kin for the male victims that was found in the 1500 block of Hobson Road, in Fort Wayne, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at approximately 19:32 hours. The deceased individuals have been positively identified as Anderson Retic, a male, black, 19 years of age from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a Joshua Cole Cooper, a male, black, 19 years of age from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Both individuals were occupants in a motor vehicle when an assailant began shooting into their vehicle. Both decedents were pronounced deceased at the scene by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.
Cause of Death for both individuals has been determined to be Multiple Gunshot Wounds and the Manner of Death for both individuals is Homicide.
Anderson Retic is the 5 th Homicide in Allen County for 2021, and Joshua Cole Cooper is the 6th Homicide for Allen County for 2021.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
