Fatal Shooting Investigation

Officers responded to the 1100 block of East Lewis Street reference a shooting. Initial reports were a male shot to the leg. When Officers arrived there were actually three victims. All appear to be adults. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and two additional victims were taken to a local hospital. Both have been reported to have non-life threatening injuries.
This incident occurred at a large gathering. During the evening officers said there had been upwards of about 100 people at the party. There were several people present during the shooting. We are asking those people who were present to please call Homicide Detectives to assist with any information they may have regarding this homicide.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Allen County Coroner after notification of next of kin. Homicide Detectives along with Crime Scene will take over the investigation. Anyone with surveillance camera footage or any other information is asked to call Crime Stoppers 260-436-STOP or the FWPD Detective Bureau at 260-427-1201.
