Apartment Fire, Anchor Way
(January 13, 2020) – Fort Wayne Fire Department Units responded to an apartment fire at Island Club Apartments, 2310 Anchor Way. The first fire units were on the scene in just over 3 minutes and had moderate smoke showing from the apartment building. Initial fire crews made an aggressive interior attack on the fire, quickly extinguishing the fire in the kitchen. Two people self-evacuated from the apartment before firefighters arrived on the scene. The fire was under control in 13 minutes.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted at this structure fire by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, the Fort Wayne Police Department, NIPSCO, Indiana Michigan Power, and Neighborhood Code Enforcement.
