News release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department:
Apartment Fire, Warsaw Street
(September 22, 2018) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department arrived on the scene in the 3500 block of Warsaw Street to a kitchen fire in progress. Upon arrival, the FWFD learned that the occupant had escaped as well as all pets. The fire was contained to the apartment of origin. The resident was treated for smoke inhalation by TRAA on the scene and released.
The fire is under investigation. The apartment suffered moderate fire damage as well as heavy water and smoke damage.
The Fire Department was assisted by Fort Wayne Police Department, Neighborhood Code, the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority (TRAA), and Indiana Michigan Power.
