Death Investigation
Date: Saturday, August 4, 2018
Time: 3:10 a.m.
Location: 2100 block of Thompson Avenue
Deceased: Black Male 20’s-30’s
Details:
Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2100 block of Thompson Avenue at approximately 3:10 a.m. this morning after a passerby observed the male down on the sidewalk. Once police, fire and medic’s arrived on scene the unidentified male was found to be unresponsive. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time after his arrival.
It is not clear at this time if this death was due to a medical condition or as a result of a criminal act of some sort. The Allen County Coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy that will help in determining a cause and the manner of death.
