TinCaps: Second game called due to rain

Game recap from the TinCaps:

Second game called due to rain

The TinCaps and Clinton LumberKings (Seattle Mariners) had game on Saturday night at Parkview Field suspended due to rain after the top of the second inning with Clinton in front, 3-0.

The TinCaps and LumberKings will continue the suspended game on Sunday, picking up with the bottom of the second inning. Sunday’s action will begin at 1:05 p.m. – the originally scheduled start time for Sunday.

Following the completion of the suspended game, and a 30-minute “intermission,” the TinCaps and LumberKings will play Sunday’s originally scheduled game. Per the rules of Minor League Baseball, that game will be set to go seven innings (rather than nine).

After the conclusion of the second game, TinCaps players will sign autographs for fans.

This was the second night in a row that rain affected a game at Parkview Field. On Friday, Fort Wayne’s scheduled game against the Burlington Bees was cancelled due to rain.

Fans who had tickets to Saturday’s game can redeem their tickets for any remaining 2018 regular season game at Parkview Field. The tickets must be exchanged at the Parkview Field Ticket Office for tickets of equal or lesser value, with the ability to upgrade, based on availability. There are no full or partial cash refunds.
