Arcola to Host County Night Out Event Sept. 17
(September 10, 2015) — The first of three County Night Out events for the fall will take place in Arcola on Thursday, September 17. The meeting will be held at the Arcola Fire Station, 11401 Railroad Street, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Lake Township Trustee’s office and Arcola Volunteer Fire Department are helping with arrangements.
County Night Out features an open-house format designed to allow citizens the opportunity to meet the Allen County Commissioners and other elected officeholders face-to-face and obtain information about programs and services offered by various County departments. Some of the departments and elected offices which will be represented at the meeting include the Parks Department, Highway Department, Building Department, the Fort Wayne-Allen County Health Department, Department of Homeland Security, County Extension Service, Consolidated Communications Partnership (E-911), Recorder and Assessor.
The second County Night Out event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, at the St. Joseph Township Community Hall, 6033 Maplecrest Road. The final meeting will be in Hoagland at the Hoagland Community Center, 11320 Hoagland Road, on Thursday, October 15.
All County Night Out events start at 6:30 p.m. and end by 8:00 p.m.
