News release from the Fort Wayne Police Department:

Sting Operation Nets Arrests

(August 28, 2015) – FWPD Detectives have been investigating a string of robberies that have taken place over several weeks involving prostitution.

Suspects utilizing internet web sites, would advertise various sexual services. Victims would call a phone number listed on the web site then meet at an agreed upon location. Once the client arrived to meet with his date several armed individuals would appear robbing the victim of cash and valuables.

Detectives are aware of nine such robberies but are confident that several others have taken place but due to the nature of the illegal activity and the embarrassment of having to report the crime, many robberies went unreported.

On Friday, August 21st Robbery Detectives, Vice and Narcotic’s Detectives and members of the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit set up a reverse sting operation luring the group to show up at a location where arrests were made.

Those arrested included:

  • Enocsha C. Boyd
  • Amy Pacheco
  • Tyreoun D. Guy
  • Shanika M. Clay

Charges ranged from Robbery, Criminal Confinement to Corrupt Business Influence. This investigation is still active and ongoing with additional arrests expected.
