Brown at Women Betrayed Rally: “Planned Parenthood is a Business and Its Business is Abortion”

(July 28, 2015) – Today, Indiana District 15 State Senator and Congressional candidate, Liz Brown, spoke at the Fort Wayne Women Betrayed Rally. The rally, organized in response to the undercover video exposing Planned Parenthood’s practices, called for defunding the investigating the organization.

In remarks prepared for delivery, Brown said:

“Planned Parenthood is a business and its business is abortion. They abort more than 170 babies for every baby they refer to adoption. Planned Parenthood’s claim of providing women access to health care is a farce; it is about providing a profitable service, and now they have finally been exposed. Providing an abortion, carefully cutting up a baby in order to preserve its organs for research, is not giving women access to health care. We need to continue to press all our elected officials in Washington, D.C. to stop funding this profit center of death.”

Brown has been a longtime advocate for the unborn and their mothers. Just this spring she sponsored legislation that establishes rules for disposing of fetal remains that brings dignity to the aborted baby, the women and the abortion staff involved. Emergency rules in her legislation took effect on July 1.
