Caterpillar Hatching Kits Available at Botanical Conservatory
(March 11, 2015) – The Botanical Conservatory has received another shipment of the Painted Lady Caterpillar Hatching Kits that were available during the Home and Garden Show. The kits are $5 each in the Conservatory’s Gift Shop. Each kit includes a Painted Lady Caterpillar, butterfly habitat, food for the caterpillar, care instructions and 2 passes to come back to the Conservatory to release the butterfly. Butterflies may be released inside the Conservatory until April 5. After that date, butterflies may be released outdoors.
Butterflies may also be released during a public release dates at the Conservatory on Saturday, March 21 at 11 am. Light refreshments will be available during the release dates in March.
