Covering Kids & Families of Northeast Indiana Provides FREE HELP During Open Enrollment
(December 17, 2014) – Do you or someone you know need health insurance? Do you need help navigating the health insurance marketplace to find the plan right for you? Covering Kids & Families of Northeast Indiana (CKF-NEIN) provides FREE HELP with enrollment in health insurance.
Open enrollment started November 15, 2014 and ends February 15, 2015. Currently 52,000 nonelderly individuals in Allen County are uninsured. “We encourage everyone to avoid the penalties and get covered. It’s very important that people enroll in a health insurance plan that fits their individual needs. Getting free and reliable assistance from a licensed Indiana Navigator can help ease the anxiety of going through the enrollment process alone and help individuals make the right plan choice,” explains Amanda Chappell, Local Director of CKF-NEIN.
CKF-NEIN works every day to help our neighbors apply for and receive the health insurance coverage they need. CANI (Community Action of Northeast Indiana), Neighborhood Health Clinics, and Volunteer Center are three organizations in Allen County that have Licensed Indiana Navigators that offer FREE Assistance. Their licensed navigators take uninsured and underinsured families through the application process step-by-step and provide ongoing education and assistance with maintaining coverage. In addition to normal business hours and scheduled appointments, CKF-NEIN invites the public to attend Open Enrollment Super Saturdays to learn more about healthcare laws and options for health insurance. Attendees will get the opportunity to get FREE help with enrollment, discuss the details of various health plans, and find out which is the best choice.
The next two Open Enrollment Super Saturdays take place on the following dates:
- January 10, 2015
- February 14, 2015
