Visit Fort Wayne Announces New Local Campaign
Targeted at assisting residents as they host their family and friends in Fort Wayne
(November 3, 2014) – Did you know that approximately 40% of Fort Wayne’s visitors come to our city because they are visiting family and friends? While this is the national average, in Fort Wayne, we consider these important visitors anything but average!
In the past, Visit Fort Wayne’s marketing efforts have focused on soliciting the other 60% of visitors and inviting them to town for family trips, conventions and sporting events. While we continue to concentrate on this effort, this November we are launching a local ad campaign to help Fort Wayne residents better host that other important group of visitors – their family and friends!
Starting this holiday season, Visit Fort Wayne will equip Fort Wayne residents with the tools they need to host their visiting friends and family. To prepare residents to be ambassadors we have created a new toolkit that you can find at HostThemHere.com.
The program is being promoted through a local ad campaign and will drive locals to HostThemHere.com, where they will find everything they need to host their friends and family – including weekly calendar of events updates, trip ideas, insider suggestions, hotel packages and more. They can even send custom e-postcards inviting them to explore our city!
We anticipate that this effort will help increase community pride as it enables visitors to discover the outstanding amenities in our community, and equip them to better share Fort Wayne with their guests!
