News release from the University of Saint Francis:

Hoosier “plein air” painting exhibit opening at USF

(August 14, 2014) — An Indiana painter in the “plein air,” or “open air” style will exhibit works in Lupke Gallery at the University of Saint Francis (USF) North Campus Sept. 10-Oct. 15. An opening reception for “Louis Bonsib—Hoosier Plein Air Artist,” will take place Sept. 10 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the gallery.

Bonsib’s daughter-in-law, Gretchen Bonsib, donated over 140 of his oil and watercolor paintings to USF. This exhibition will present a selection of the very best of the Louis Bonsib collection (1892-1979). The exhibit and opening are free and open to the public.

Lupke Gallery features a year-long rotation of USF’s permanent collection and regional private collections. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The North Campus is located at 2702 Spring Street, across from the main campus. Ample free parking is available.
