Strong to severe thunderstorms possible later today

(September 1, 2014) – Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon and evening, mainly west of Interstate 69. The storms will spread eastward through the evening and overnight hours across the entire area. Some of these storms may be strong to severe, with isolated damaging wind gusts and large hail. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding are also possible tonight, especially southeast of the US Highway 24 corridor. Please stay weather-aware today, especially if you have outdoor plans this afternoon and evening!
