A Better Fort Presents: #BaaLs
The Downtown Party Series that has Baals.

(May 20, 2014) – Summer 2014, A Better Fort will present #BaaLs, a two-part party series in downtown Fort Wayne for all ages. The first will take place July 11 on SoCal (South Calhoun) and will again be supporting local charity, Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House and the second, Friday August 1st at Columbia Street, on the Landing. Both events will begin at 6 pm and end at midnight.

After two years of successful events, A Better Fort is taking the next step in bringing an ongoing series of block parties to the downtown area, showcasing one of the fastest growing genres in the music industry. #BaaLs will feature local electronic DJs, dollar beer and glow sticks. A lot of glow sticks.

“As soon as it’s over, people are asking when the next one is. We decided to give the people what they want this year- another block party,” says Shane Araujo, Co-founder and Bossman of Operations at A Better Fort.

A Better Fort is excited to announce other additions to the events, including the introduction of the “Fast Pass” this year, allowing a limited number of people expedited access to drinks through a dedicated bar for Fast Pass purchasers.

A Better Fort, known for its sometimes tongue-in-cheek approach, unanimously agreed on the namesake for the party series, #BaaLs. “The rest of the country knows Fort Wayne for some less than complimentary things. We decided to own what we’ve been heckled for. Let’s be known as “the city that has #BaaLs.” Invite Jimmy Kimmel and show him what Fort Wayne really has to offer!” says Tiffany Ann, Marketing Maven for A Better Fort.

Sponsorship packages still available. Please contact tiffany@abetterfort.org for more information.

Admission is only $5. Kids 12 and under are free. Presale for Fast Passes to be announced. General admission tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

  • Friday, July 11, 6 PM – midnight: 800th block of SoCal
  • Friday, August 1, 6 PM – midnight: Columbia Street on the Landing
