Bennett Supports Pence’s Education Plan

(INDIANAPOLIS, June 12, 2012) – Dr. Tony Bennett issued the following statement today in support of Mike Pence’s plan to strengthen Indiana’s economy and invest in education:

“Mike Pence’s plan for education is another step in the right direction for Indiana’s kids. We should take every opportunity to make the high school experience more meaningful and ensure all students are college or career ready when they graduate high school. I look forward to partnering with Mike as we work to strengthen Indiana’s workforce and advance the opportunities available to students.”

Dr. Bennett served as principal of the Prosser School of Technology from 1999 to 2001. He has carried this experience as well as his passion for career and technical education into his current position as State Superintendent. Under the leadership of Dr. Bennett, and through the hard work of Hoosier students and educators, student performance has improved across the board.
