Voter registration deadline is April 4th

News release from the Allen County Board of Elections:

Voter Registration Deadline Approaching

Monday, April 4 is the final day to register to vote or make address changes for the May 3 Municipal Primary Election, according to the Allen County Board of Voters Registration.

To register, you must:

[li]Be a citizen of the United States;[/li]
[li]Be at least 18 years old on the day of the next general election;[/li]
[li]Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the next election; and[/li]
[li]Not currently be imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.[/li]
[/list]

The Allen County Voters Registration Office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through April 4 in Room 132 of the City-County Building, 1 East Main Street.

All mail-in registrations must be postmarked no later than April 4 to be processed before the May 3 primary. All new registrations sent by mail must include documentation verifying voter name and address.

Indiana residents with a valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana state-issued identification card may submit registrations online at www.indianavoters.com until midnight of April 4.

Please remember all registrations must be completed on forms that include the questions “Are you a citizen of the United States of America?” and “Will you be 18 years of age on or before Election Day?” Forms printed prior to January 1, 2004 may not include these questions and cannot be processed if submitted to Voters Registration.
