I posted on December 12, 2010 about some of the exploratory committees that have been formed and filed with the Allen County Election Board.
One of those committees was for Republican Melissa Hicks in the 6th District City Council race. Â However, she had filed an ammendment to her CFA-1 which had not been updated in the Election Board data base. Â She is actually running for the 5th District City Council seat and will face fellow Republican Jim Mc Coy in the May Primary Election. Â No word on whether or not current Councilman Tim Pape will run again.
I’ve been hearing rumors that Republican Ivan Hood will be seeking an At-Large seat on the City Council. Â Hood ran in the 2008 Primary Election for the office of Mayor. Â Hood is a local business owner and when I spoke with him during the summer of 2009, seemed to have a good grasp of the issues and problems facing our City. Â No official word from him, although he has shared he will let AFW readers know when he announces his campaign.
