Mad Ants Trade 2nd Round Pick for Maine’s Lazare
(November 1, 2010) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants and the Maine Red Claws have agreed to a trade prior to the 2010 NBA Development League Draft. The Mad Ants will trade their second round draft pick for Red Claws returner Darnell Lazare.
Lazare, 6’8″ forward out of Louisiana St., played all 50 games for the Red Claws during the 2009-2010 season. He averaged 10.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
The Mad Ants have the 10th pick in the draft, which will be held this afternoon starting at 7:00pm, as the Maine Claws have the 3rd pick.
NBA Development League
The NBA Development League, founded in 2001, is the NBA’s official minor league whose teams have direct affiliations to NBA franchises. For the 2010-11 season, the league will feature 16 teams – including the debut of the Texas Legends.
