Press release from Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation:

Junior Golf Scramble Fundraiser

(May 17, 2010) Want to share your golf tips with a young person? Or maybe that young person can show you a thing or two about the game. Sign up for the Junior Golf Scramble Fundraiser, held on June 12 at 8:30 am. This is a great opportunity to play beautiful McMillen Park Golf Course and support the Junior/Pee Wee Golf program in Fort Wayne.

This tournament is a standard scramble format with a shotgun start. Each foursome must include a current Junior or Pee Wee Tour Player, but don’t worry, if you don’t know a youth player, sign up as a threesome and a junior player will be assigned to your team. The cost is $40 per person, no charge for the junior player. The price includes golf, a golf cart, lunch and prizes. All proceeds will go to the Junior Golf Tour. Register at the Parks & Recreation Department, 705 East State Blvd., or at McMillen Park Golf Course, Oxford Street, East of Anthony Blvd.

The Pee Wee and Junior Golf Tours allow boys and girls ages 3 – 18 to test their skills against other young golfers on a variety of area courses. Awards will be given at each tournament. Tournament formats and fees vary for each event. Sponsored by Pepsi, Moxie Creative and Grange Insurance.
