Winter Storm Warning Sunday and Monday
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning, in effect from January 5, 01:00 AM EST until January 6, 01:00 AM EST.
NWS again increases range of expected snowfall
General storm total accumulations of 6 to 10 inches are expected in the Winter Storm Warning area.
NWS udpate: 6 to 9 inches now expected
The National Weather Service now says to expect 6 to 9 inches in snow accumulation.
NWS update: 6 to 8″ expected this evening in the warning area
Snow will be heavy at times tonight with accumulations around an inch per hour with total storm accumulations of 6 to 8 inches expected.
NWS: Snowfall rates of 1 inch per hour possible tonight
Snow currently over the area will continue to increase in intensity and coverage as the evening progresses with rates of around an inch per hour possibly beetween 6 pm and 2 am tonight.
Winter Storm Warning update
Snow will overspread the area from west to east late this morning into the late afternoon hours to continue through the overnight hours with accumulations of 5 to 7 inches.
