On August 7, 2024, the FWPD received multiple reports of a vehicle crashing into the Kroger Marketplace located at 601 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On August 4, 2024 at 08:05 hours, the FWPD received a report of a single vehicle accident that occurred near the intersection of Wells Street and Wallywood Avenue.

The FWPD is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a pedestrian on Interstate 69 near the 310.4 mile marker that happened just after midnight on July 31, 2024.

FWPD Officer body-cam footage and an update were released on August 21, 2024 by the FWPD.

On July 24, 2024, at 18:25 hours, the FWPD was dispatched to a motorcycle crash near the South Clinton & East Brackenridge Streets intersection in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Fort Wayne City Councilmen Russell Jehl, Nathan Hartman, and Scott Myers publicly discussed their ongoing concerns about the weakening of EMS services being provided to the citizens of Fort Wayne, created by the failure of Allen County and Fort Wayne elected officials to collaborate.

On December 3, 2021, at 2:24 AM, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 700 block of Cumberland Avenue in regards to a person down in a garage.
