The FWPD is aware of a video circulating social media, regarding the arrest of Tyana Smith early Monday morning at roughly 3:35 am in the area of Abbott/Manford and FWPD Chief Caudill has initiated a formal internal investigation to ensure all rules, regulations, and policies were followed.

On April 24, 2024, the Paulding County Ohio Sheriff’s Department forwarded a report to the FWPD concerning three children that reported physical abuse the previous day inside Fort Wayne, Indiana's city limits.

The Fort Wayne Police Department arrested Anthony Kidd late Saturday night (Aug. 3, 2024) in connection to a shooting that occurred Saturday (Aug. 3) at roughly 22:12 hours in the 7000 block of Peartree Lane.

Nathaniel Harris was arrested in Danville, Illinois, on July 31, 2024, on warrants for child molesting.

The FWPD responded to a call for service regarding a domestic battery on July 30, 2024, at 11:58 hours in the 500 block of Ward Drive.

The FWPD is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a pedestrian on Interstate 69 near the 310.4 mile marker that happened just after midnight on July 31, 2024.
